You Made It Look Easy

Love rarely comes alone.
Loss comes trailing after.
Eventually the pain of loss
replaces the joy and laughter.

It was fear of that loss
that kept me in my shell.
Until you came along
to free me from my hell.

Tho' no one could have known
what life was bringing our way,
it wouldn't have made a difference
if I knew then, what I know today.

I've discovered true happiness
in the midst of despair.
It's found at your side.
All joy is found there.

Never would I have dreamed
how my love for you has grown.
The chance to feel your love
is the best thing I've ever known.
